The Intel 8085 is an 8-bit microprocessor introduced by Intel in 1977. It is binary-compatible with the more-famous Intel 8080 but required less supporting hardware, thus allowing simpler and less expensive microcomputer systems to be built. It requires only a 5v power supply. Interfacing can also be done with the higher versions of 8085(8051) which is specifically designed for interfacing.The only application of 8085 is that it is used in the educational institutions for study porpose.
Intel ATOM is the recently launched microprocessor. Intel ATOM is a 64 bit microprocessor and it is the world’s smallest processor as of now. Intel Atom can execute up to two instructions per cycle. Intel atom processor is used in ultra mobile pc, smart phone and other portable and low-power applications.
The educational institutions in Asia and many European countries are still following 8085. The educational institutions have 8085 in their syllabus for the past 20 years. The recently emerged microprocessor have more instuction registers than 8085. With more number of Instruction registers and Instruction sets, it is much easier to do programming and the basic Programming which will change with different instruction sets. The applications of 8085 is very limited and it is very hardly used now. The architecture of the recently emerged microprocessor is totally different from 8085. Since the architecture is different, even the hardware study will not be  that much useful with 8 bits when compared to 64 bits used now. With both the programming style and the hardware architecture differing from the recently devoloped microprocessor it is better to upgrade the syllabus and introduce a 64 bit microprocessor for study so that it will be useful.




Preparing this dish is very easy. It requires a special type of tava which is shown in the image.
Ingredients:
  • Rice
  • Urad daal
  • Channa daal
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Soak the rice and both the daals for a couple of hours and grind them to a smooth batter. Let the batter be a bit thick.
  • Add salt and let the batter stand overnight for fermentation.
  • In the morning, make them into the shape as shown in image. Fry them on the tava. Cook on one side and then turn them over to cook on the other side.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney


he first manned mission to moon, Apollo 11, was launched on July 16 1969 .It carried Commander Neil Alden Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin Eugene ‘Buzz’ Aldrin, Jr. On July 20, a history was created, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to land on the Moon, while Collins orbited above. ”I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth.” This was the speech given by President John F. Kennedy after the goal was reached. But the million dollar question is did they really land on the moon or is it a fake?
The first controversy aroused when Neil Armstrong was talking to the earth station before landing on the moon made a statement that,”The fuel in the shuttle is not enough to land the craft and take off from the moon”. But they landed the craft successfully and took off. When NASA was asked to comment on this they maintained that they had enough fuel resources till they landed on earth.
The second reason which created controversy was when Aldrin stepped out of the shuttle, he was climbing down the ladder as if he was on earth. In moon, the gravity is one sixth that of the earth and so it is not as easy to climb down the ladder as on the earth. A photo taken on the moon revealed the foot prints of Aldrin. With one sixth of the gravity the foot prints will not be so clear even if they used sucker in their boots.
The third one is that, many researchers and scientists till now maintain that they have not designed a suite which can withstand the van Allen radiation which the astronauts will be exposed when they land on the moon. If they have designed a suite why didn’t they send another manned mission to the moon? Till now it is the first mission and it has remained the last manned mission to the moon.
The fourth and the very much evident one was the photo which they captured. It will be very amazing to see a photo taken on moon without stars. In some photos we can clearly see a ‘C’ marked on the rocks which is usually used by Hollywood to focus a particular object. When NASA was asked to comment on this a clear explanation was not given. Till now it remains a big mystery whether  “WE REALLY LAND ON THE MOON”


Scientists have founded that the male dinosaurs guarded  the nests and brooded the eggs rather than the females . This is the behaviour of the existing bird species . They say that the birds evolved from a small and  feathered species of the dinosaurs over 150 million years ago.”
The male dino’s usually mates with several females that lays eggs in large clutches and  the males  protected  and incubated the eggs on their own. This behaviour is common  among certain large flightless birds like emus and rheas and the South American tinamous. They were found with  very large number of eggs, each nest would atleast contain 22 to 30 eggs.

The jet which cannot be detected by a radar is called stealth jet. It uses stealth technology. Stealth technology, also known as LOT (Low Observability Technology), is a sub-discipline of military electronic countermeasures which covers a range of techniques used with aircraft, ships and missiles, in order to make them less visible (invisible) to radar, infrared and other detection methods. A ’stealth’ jet will generally have been designed from the outset to have reduced or controlled signature. It is possible to have varying degrees of stealth. The exact level and nature of stealth embodied in a particular jet is determined by the prediction of likely threat capabilities and the balance of other considerations, including the raw unit cost of the system. The material used for the ’stealth jet’ should be either transparent to the radar or it should absorb the radar signals so that it cannot be identified.


The principles of ‘STEALTH JET’ are
1. Radar cross section reductions
2. Visibility
3. Infra red
4. Reducing radio frequency emissions
1. In the radar cross section reductions, the shape of the stealth jet is designed in such a way that the radar signals which penetrate through this will become weak. An important factor in the design is the internal construction. Behind the skin of the aircraft are structures known as re-entrant triangles. Radar waves penetrating the skin of the aircraft get trapped in these structures, bouncing off the internal faces and losing energy. In reflecting the radar back to the transmitting end there are many techniques. One of them is with orthogonal metal plates,forming a corner reflector consisting of either two plates or three plates.
Stealth design must bury the engines within the wing or fuselage, or in some cases where stealth is applied to an existing aircraft, install baffles in the air intakes, so that the turbine blades are not visible to radar. Planform alignment is also often used in stealth designs. Planform alignment involves using a small number of surface orientations in the shape of the structure. The leading edges of the wing and the tail surfaces are set at the same angle. The effect of planform alignment is to return a radar signal in a very specific direction away from the radar emitter rather than returning a diffuse signal detectable at many angles. Shaping requirements have strong negative influence on the aircraft’s aerodynamic properties and it needs computer assistance for balancing it.
2. For less visibility, most stealth aircraft use matte paint and dark colors, and operate only at night. Lately, interest on daylight Stealth has emphasized the use of gray paint in disruptive schemes, and it is assumed that Yehudi lights could be used in the future to mask shadows in the airframe. The ’stealth jet’ has wing tanks for a contrail-inhibiting chemical, alleged by some to be chlorofluorosulphonic acid, and mission planning also considers altitudes where the probability of their formation is minimized.
3. An exhaust plume contributes a significant infrared (IR) signature. One means of reducing the IR signature is to have a non-circular tail pipe in order to minimize the exhaust cross-sectional volume and maximize the mixing of the hot exhaust with cool ambient air. Often, cool air is deliberately injected into the exhaust flow to boost this process. Sometimes, the jet exhaust is vented above the wing surface in order to shield it from observers below. To achieve infrared stealth, the exhaust gas is cooled to the temperatures where the brightest wavelengths it radiates on are absorbed by atmospheric carbon dioxide and water vapor, dramatically reducing the infrared visibility of the air craft. Another way to reduce the exhaust temperature is to circulate coolant fluids such as fuel inside the exhaust pipe, where the fuel tanks serve as heat sinks cooled by the flow of air along the wings.
4. Reducing radio frequency emissions is that a stealth vehicle must avoid radiating any other detectable energy, such as from on board radars, communications systems, or RF leakage from electronics enclosures. Some ’stealth’ jets use passive infra-red and “low light level TV” sensor systems to aim its weapons and some use an advanced LPI radar which can illuminate enemy aircraft without triggering a radar warning receiver response.


Hmmm well lot of them always think if thousand of years ago, there were huge creatures, nearly 100 feet high ruling the earth, then where are they now ? Also to be precise there lived human giants, the longest or the tallest was 32 feet tall (gosh if I were tall like that I wud have squashed Yao Ming lol). The thing to be noticed here is everything in prehistoric times was huge. The reason for their extinction is not clearly explained by scientists till now. Some of the reasons which they have given are explained below:

 1. Asteroids or Volcanoes?
Approximately 65.5 million years ago, an event occurred that caused the mass extinction of about 70% of the earth’s animals and plant species in a relatively short geological time period. It is called the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event or the K-T extinction event (yea I know what is that don’t worry its just a name so don’t ponder over). A thin band, a geological signature called the K-T boundary, identifies this.
Around the world dinosaur remains (of the non-avian variety) have only been discovered below this K-T boundary. This points to the conclusion that dinosaurs became extinct either right before the event or because of it.
Luis and Walter Alvarez, along with other scientists from the University of California, during the late seventies, were closely studying the K-T boundary in Gubbio, Italy, when they made an interesting discovery. In a clay layer at the boundary point they found 30 times the normal level of a rare element called Iridium (no you can’t make ice cream from that, no). Such high levels of Iridium, it has been theorized, could have only come from two sources: either asteroids or violent volcanic activity
2. The Asteroid
Many in the scientific community have postulated this impact event theory. The theory suggests that a large asteroid fell to earth and created a cloud of dust and other aerosols that blocked the sun’s rays for up to a year. This reduction in sunlight radically affected plant and animal life causing a change of atmosphere. At the time of impact a pulse of intense radiation killed many species and the resulting climate change and global firestorms decimated the rest. Dinosaurs, because of their size, were the first to succumb.
*well before hearing this I wished to see an asteroid in front of my eyes now nope I don’t want to die. mama pls save me gosh I cant imagine a war of the worlds type of a scenario now I wont know where to run, well I don’t want to run and then get hit by an asteroid I would rather get hit by a car and die soon …
3. Volcanic Activity
The Deccan Traps, located in Western India, formed at the end of the Cretaceous period, the same time the dinosaurs disappeared from earth. The Traps are a bi-product of violent volcanic eruptions. This theory postulates that the volcanic activity at the time would have released massive amounts of sulphuric aerosols and ash into the atmosphere again causing a major shift in the earth’s climate. A shift that the dinosaurs were not equipped to survive.
4. Ice Age
Another theory relies on the idea of a major drop in temperature that caused the dinosaurs to die out while allowing the warm-blooded, more insulated mammals to survive. In this case all the plants, animals and marine life that could not adapt to the plummeting temperature became extinct. A number of scientists pair this theory with the asteroid theory, claiming that it was the asteroid that triggered the deep freeze.
5. NEW THEORY
DINOSAURS weren’t just killed off when the asteroid hit, they were struck down in their prime, suggests a new analysis of dinosaur fossils around the world.
“Dinosaurs were just doing incredibly well at the end of the Cretaceous,” says David Fastovsky, a paleontologist at the University of Rhode Island at Kingston.
The first dinosaurs evolved about 230 million years ago in the Triassic period. Early dinosaurs were generalists, and had evolved into no more than around 40 genera at any one time up until the late Jurassic, which began about 160 million years ago.
But then diversity soared in the Cretaceous which followed (see Graphic). Fastovsky’s team has established that at least 245 dinosaur genera lived during the late Cretaceous period, from 65 to 99 million years ago (Geology, vol 32, p 877). “The lifestyles of dinosaurs became much more diverse,” says Fastovsky’s colleague Peter Sheehan of the Milwaukee Public Museum. “By the late Cretaceous, we had much more specialized animals.” The diversity of plant-eating dinosaurs in the period is “absolutely breathtaking”, he told New Scientist. For example, hadrosaurs evolved an elaborate duck-billed jaw filled with teeth to chew vegetation, and the rhinoceros-like ceratopsians evolved elaborate horns.
Earlier studies had suggested dinosaur diversity dropped shortly before the asteroid impact, based on a drop in the number of genera uncovered from the two final stages of the Cretaceous, the Campanian and the Maastrichtian. The new data also shows a slight decline between those two stages, but statistically this difference is meaningless because very few dinosaurs are known from other stages of the late Cretaceous.
There are many plausible explanations and scientific theories regarding the extinction of the dinosaurs. New scientific evidence is discovered all the time, which supports one hypothesis or another, however, the truth is that we really don’t know what ended the reign of these giants of the prehistoric world.
Well what ever made them die should be thanked by us simply because i don’t want to get squeezed by a dinosaur for that matter eaten up… cant imagine!

     UFO’s (Unidentified flying object) are the aerial objects which are not readily identified .The first investigations of UFOs began during World War II. In 1942 US Army tracked an Unidentified flying object in Los Angeles and started firing on it and the next day the US military maintained that it was just a test fire.
     A strong belief of UFO came after the Roswell incident. The incident took place on July 7, 1947, an UFO crashed in Roswell. During the investigation the United States military found a space craft, a UFO to be more precise but US army maintains that, what was actually recovered was debris from an experimental high-altitude surveillance balloon. Many people witnessed the event and said it was an alien craft which crashed and they even believe that bodies were recovered, and that the military engaged in a cover-up.
     After the Roswell incident the investigation on UFOs became intense and from 1947 to 2008 several UFOs have been sighted. The UFOs are believed to exist in the white spectrum which cannot be spotted by naked eye. Research and investigation shows that the UFOs look like flying saucers and they travel in speed of light years, well NASA from 1942 till now is trying to find more information about UFOs in-fact ‘Buzz’ Aldrin the second man on moon has admitted that he in fact saw an UFO when they traveled to the moon on the famous space shuttle  Apollo 11 (watch the video) hmmm but the most interesting fact is that US has always denied that they are UFOs in space or in atmosphere but NASA astronomers from the early time till now are admitting to the fact that they have seen UFOs massive in size. In fact it is said that UFOs may be vary in size from 2 to 3 miles!! Whoof massive yea! , Whatever it is, it is hard to believe that they are no aliens or UFOs cause we live in a universe which has many planets and galaxies. Why can’t there be other beings like us? Or even far more superior than us? NASA has also said that civilization existed in mars and to make the matters worse it is also found that moon has massive structures on it of various sizes. Can’t believe it huh? Watch the video. Well whatever may be the truth, existence of the UFOs is true which cannot be denied, and people will knock at NASA very soon for an answer and I hope they are prepared…

     Search Engines are the websites that allows the user to surf the entire web services with his desired query, then the system fetches some number of results that are actually the website links to the user.      Who can remember the days when you had to go to the library to do research for a research paper, had to pick up the morning newspaper to get the latest news, or had to buy a stamp and put a check in an envelope to pay a bill? In the last 50 years technology has undergone an amazing transformation. But with the emergence of the Internet, is our ability to access technology on a daily basis a good thing or a bad thing?
Most people would admit that they love the benefits that the Internet offers. After all, who wants to wait for the mail to come or actually go to the grocery store for milk?

     On the Orion, Kelly Chandler writes, "Quite frankly, I don't even have a reason to get out of bed, since the whole world is readily available to me right under my fingertips, and because I never shut off my phone, I'm always connected." Being always connected is certainly a plus. But the Internet also comes with many negative aspects, including not having to get out of bed.

     The downside to the Internet is that it literally makes us lazy. The best example of our laziness is inability to communicate face-to-face. The norm typically involves social networking web sites like myspace or facebook. Not only are people obsessed with the number of friends they have, but these sites create huge distractions. Chandler states, "These sites have become distractions to our everyday lives. They keep people from doing what they're supposed to do and have ultimately replaced face-to-face socializing." Not having face-to-face interaction is a huge loss for our social skills.

     As Chandler stated, staying connected through the Internet can be very positive. After all, it does allow us to stay on top of important news without having to wait for the newspaper or the evening news. While this is certainly something to applaud, it also has its negative impacts. Newspapers are in a crisis right now because people are more interested in getting their news online. Many papers are going out of business. In Denver, Colorado one of the nation's most recognized newspapers, the Rocky Mountain News, went out of business only a few weeks ago.

     The loss of the Rocky affects its employees (two hundred people are now out of work in a worsening economy), its readers, and the business that had the opportunity to advertise their products to the demographic that the Rocky reached. The demise of newspapers like the Rocky is a huge negative affect of the Internet, even though it is more
convenient to go online for up-to-date news.

     Modern technology has both good and bad consequences. We won't know what the results will be for quite some time, but it will be interesting to see what will come from technology like the Internet. In another 50 years will we still be considered a lazy society?
